Aventa became shareholder in BCIL Japon

French luxury products and consulting

In February 2011 Aventa invested into the company BCIL Japon around the long time Japan resident Bernard Cendron. Bernard is a well known player in the Japanese luxury industry. His longterm experience and dedication to Japan have born several success stories.

In 1975 he started as an area manager for Christian Dior. In 1979 he became the Managing Director of Cartier in Japan and continuously grew and expanded the presence of the Cartier brand in Japan.
After Cartier he started his own venture as a platform for European luxury goods to enter the Japanese market.

Bernard is a guest speaker and consultant at the EU gateway program sponsored by EU funds and helping European companies to find their gateway into Japan.
He has also held numerous lectures at Japanese and international universities.

Aventa has now bought a stake of 10% in BCIL Japon. The outlook for luxury in Japan is not good now, but that is one reason for the investment. The luxury industry will bounce back soon and people start buying again.
